The holidays are always a great time to spend time with family. It’s a time when everything seems to slow down and it’s also a great excuse for eating more than you probably should.
If you’re like most drivers in Jackson, Mayfield, Murray, and Paducah, getting cooked food to the extended family gathering can be somewhat of a challenge. It’s never fun to pack everything in the car and then find out that the gravy spilled over all of the other food items and inside the car. This can be prevented.
First, be sure to use lock-tight containers for anything that has a liquid base. Second, you want to provide an extra protected seal by wrapping the container top with aluminum foil. Then pack all the food items in a large enough box or crate that will allow everything to fit snugly. And always place liquid-based items on the bottom.
