If you own or have ever owned a black car you know how difficult it is to keep it clean. Any imperfection or dirt shows up almost immediately and they are notorious for showing swirl marks. Luckily, there are ways you can minimize scratches and swirls to keep your black car looking its best.
- Before you begin washing your car use a high-pressure hose to remove the dirt. If you begin washing your car with dirt still attached the scrubbing will lead to scratches.
- Use two buckets to wash your car, fill one with clean soapy water for washing and the other with clean water for rinsing. Dirt going back onto the car contributes to scratches and swirls.
- Use high-quality products to wash and dry your car. Using soft materials such as microfiber is another way to prevent scratches. Microfiber is also able to absorb more water weight without causing damage to the paint.
- Using wax protects your car's paint against harmful UV rays and keeps it shiny. Apply it as soon as possible after washing.
